These Tutor Terms apply to any user who publishes a tutoring listing on MedicoMedics. By creating or keeping a listing active you confirm you have read and agree to these terms, in addition to our general Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. Nature of the service
MedicoMedics operates a listings and introductions platform. We do not employ, supervise, endorse, or control tutors. We do not vet credentials, verify qualifications, or guarantee the quality, safety, or accuracy of any tutoring provided. Any relationship formed through the platform is directly between the tutor and the student.
2. Eligibility and accuracy
- You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts.
- All information in your listing (name, credentials, experience, availability, pricing) must be truthful, current, and not misleading.
- If you claim to be a licensed physician, medical student, or other regulated professional, you are solely responsible for the truth of that claim and for complying with any professional or licensing rules that apply to you.
3. Independent contractor status
You are an independent third party. You are not an employee, agent, partner, or representative of MedicoMedics. You are solely responsible for how you deliver tutoring, for any tax, social security, licensing, insurance, and regulatory obligations that apply to you, and for any contracts you form with students.
4. Payments happen off-platform
MedicoMedics does not process payments, hold funds, take commissions, or act as a payment agent. All fees, payment terms, refunds, cancellations, invoices, and disputes are arranged and settled directly between you and the student. You are responsible for using a payment method that is lawful in your jurisdiction and for issuing any receipts or invoices required by law.
5. Educational use only - no medical advice
Tutoring provided through MedicoMedics is for medical education purposes only. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, does not create a doctor-patient relationship, and must not be used to make clinical decisions about a real patient. You must make this clear to your students and refuse any request to provide clinical care through the platform.
6. Prohibited content and conduct
- No impersonation, false credentials, or misleading claims.
- No harassment, discrimination, sexual content, or content targeting minors.
- No sharing of confidential patient information or anything that could identify a real patient.
- No unlawful, fraudulent, or off-topic offers (e.g. paid essays, exam-writing services, sale of live exam questions).
- No spam, referral-only schemes, or listings whose real purpose is to sell an unrelated product.
7. Moderation and removal
We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice, hide, suspend, or permanently remove any listing that we believe violates these Terms, is unlawful, or poses a risk to users. We may also suspend or terminate the accounts of repeat offenders. Users can report listings via the "Report listing" button; we review reports and act on them under our internal moderation policy.
8. Reviews
Students who complete a tutoring session may leave a rating and a written review. Reviews must be honest and based on the reviewer's own experience. We may remove reviews that appear fraudulent, defamatory, or in violation of these Terms, but we do not otherwise edit them.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MedicoMedics is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, or claim arising out of (a) a tutor's acts or omissions, (b) the quality or outcome of any tutoring session, (c) any payment made or not made between a tutor and a student, or (d) any dispute between a tutor and a student. You agree to indemnify and hold MedicoMedics harmless from any claim brought against us by a student or third party arising from your use of the platform.
10. Changes
We may update these Tutor Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in the app. Your continued use of the tutor listings feature after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
